Visual Artist, Art-Therapist Paris 14
Born in New York City in 1975, Antoinette Favre Bonvin is a visual artist and art therapist who has lived in Paris since 2001.
Born to an immigrant family, Antoinette grew up in NYC. As a young adult, she discovered that drawing is a form of expression unlike any other. After assisting an artist on the West Coast, she decided to pursue a degree in fine arts.
In 2001 Antoinette moved to Paris, where she taught English, learned French, and painted. Continuing to create while raising a family, she pursued further education at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, as well as local workshops. Teaching English through art classes for children, she was inspired to pursue a degree in art therapy, a discipline she discovered 20 years earlier. Antoinette graduated from L'Atelier Les Pinceaux in Paris in 2015.
Antoinette had her first solo exhibition at the local gallery, L'Espace Devrièse, in 2019 and a group show at the Salon d'Automne in October 2020.
This visual vocabulary, which Antoinette qualifies as manifestations of relationships/and the space between us all.
She hopes to share what she infuses in her work with others so that others can, in turn, feel something.
Antoinette works as a visual artist and art therapist in Paris and the Ile-de-France region.
